§ 01The cabins
Fifteen cabins, each named for a tree
Sip your morning coffee under old cedars. Gather round the communal firepit in the evening. Our fifteen original cabins stand among cedar, spruce, oak, pine, maple and birch: Birch, Ash, Ironwood, Aspen, Poplar, Elm, Dogwood, Tamarack, Pine, Spruce, Oak, Maple, Hemlock, Red Cedar and White Cedar.
Every cabin has new doors, floors, windows, an updated bathroom, new mattresses and bedding. A small fridge and a patio come with each one, and dogs stay free. Every cabin has a heat pump and air conditioning. There are no kitchens or televisions: the night breeze through the woods and your own patio do the work.

Two bedrooms and a private bath: the Hemlock and the Maple. Breakfast in the lodge for everyone in the party.

Breakfast, the firepit, a very dark sky
Your days start with the breakfast buffet in the lodge, 8 to 10, served inside or on the patio, with first coffee at 7:30. Evenings come with the communal firepit, and if you want dinner, it is a short walk to our dining room. On a clear night the sky is dark enough that you’ll want to look up.
Walk west down the driveway and across Huron Road, and it is a short walk to a water access on Red Bay.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am. When you leave, drop your keys in the basket at the front desk.
We'll arrive late. Will someone be there?
Yes, we meet guests at any hour. If you will arrive after 9 pm, please send us an ETA so we can plan to greet you.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, a breakfast is included with every stay. Hours change through the season, so please ask us for today's hours.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Dogs stay free in our cabins. Pets are not permitted in the lodge rooms or inside the dining room, but they are very welcome on the patio.
Can we have a barbecue?
No barbecues or cooking, indoors or out. S'mores at the shared fire pit, lit most evenings, are the one exception.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free, open Wi-Fi with no password. The signal is strongest in the main lodge.
Does it have air conditioning?
Every cabin has air conditioning. The lodge rooms are not air conditioned, but they have fans and windows that open.
What's your cancellation policy?
More than 48 hours before arrival you are refunded everything. Inside 48 hours the first-night deposit is kept. We can also move your stay instead of cancelling, and bookings made on Airbnb, Booking.com or Expedia follow that site's policy.
